Installation Of Gas Transmission Pipeline

 

1) The steel gas pipe is lowered into the trench.

 

2) Aligning and fitting up the steel gas pipe for welding.

 

3) Welding of the steel gas pipe, which is followed by an x-ray
to ensure that welding is done correctly.

 

4) Grinding is carried out to smoothen the steel gas pipe's surface.

 

5) Sand blasting to clear the pipe's surface before coating.

 

6) Preheating before coating of epoxy primer.

 

7) Application of epoxy primer.

 

8) Wrapping of heat shrink sleeves for corrosion protection of the joint.

 

9) Peel test is conducted to ensure that the heat shrink
sleeves adheres tightly to the steel gas pipe.

 

10) Backfilling the trench with quarry dust to protect the steel gas pipe.

 

11) Installation of concrete top slabs.

 

12) Reinstating the road surface after completion of pipe installation works.
